Hope International University announces its annual Spirit of Hope Celebrity Concert & Awards Gala will be held on Saturday, September 24, in the Grand Ballroom of the Disneyland Hotel. Gala guests will enjoy an elegant evening of gourmet dining and live performances, including current HIU students and the popular recording group, All Things New. Special awards will be presented to distinguished alumni and notable members of the HIU community, and President John Derry will share an inside look at the University and the impact of HIU’s recent merger with Nebraska Christian College.

The band All Things New, made up of childhood friends Garrett Hornbuckle (singer), Jeff Stein (guitars), Luke Wycuff (drums), and Drew Moenning (keys) released their self-titled debut in 2013 on BEC and their music resonated with audiences as they toured on the Newsboys’ God’s Not Dead Tour. Their self-titled album peaked at #14 on the Christian charts and #5 on the Top Heatseekers chart. Released in September 2015, their sophomore album, The Good News, came out of conversations about fresh-yet-effective ways to present the Gospel in a musical format. Garrett states, “Our heart is that every time we take the stage, it’s not about us being stars or having a record deal, it's all about the opportunity to love on people.”
