ACADEMICS

Associate of Arts

At Hope, the Associate of Arts degree is offered completely online. Designed for working professionals and exposes them to a wide range of knowledge and achievement in the Arts and Sciences, it develops critical thinking abilities, communication skills, and Christian values necessary to become productive servant leaders in church and society. Students emerge equipped for more advanced, specialized studies in the Bachelor of Science program. The coursework also promotes personal and spiritual growth by emphasizing Christian values, ethical principles, and effective interpersonal communications in diverse settings.

Online courses provide an interactive learning environment through online video lectures, online discussion threads, and an online drop box where you can virtually submit your assignments. Best of all, you can log-on to view lectures, participate in threaded discussions, and submit assignments any time of night or day!

Most students continue on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Human Development, or Christian Ministry.

The Associate of Arts program is 60 units.

"Hopeís School of Professional Studies (SPS) program provides compassionate, dedicated, and professional staff members who are committed to their students' success. The program models and encourages personal and professional networking, collaboration, and life-long learning. The diversity and flexibility of online and on campus classes enabled me to work over forty hours per week and to balance a full-time class load as a student at HIU. My experience in the program was an eclectic blend of spiritual, professional, and personal renewal."

"I recognize that my transition from where I was to where I am now would not have been possible without my degree, and I canít stress strongly enough what a great experience my HIU adventure was for me. "
