On October 14th, Hope International University hosted an Open House for their newAnaheim Campus. Located on the 9th floor of the Stadium Towers building, the campus is the new home of HIU’s graduate and online programs.

With city officials, the Deans of the five HIU colleges, and members of the Cabinet and Board of Trustees alongside him, President Dr. John Derry performed the ribbon cutting, signifying the opening of the Anaheim Campus and Hope’s growing presence in the city of Anaheim.

In addition to top University administrators, members of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, and local HIU alumni and donors, other businesses in the Stadium Towers building were also in attendance. Guests participated in guided tours, giving them the opportunity to see the brand new classrooms and office spaces. Several specially designed classrooms were featured on the tour including ones set up to simulate a counseling session setting, which will be particularly valuable for students in the M.A. of Marriage & Family Therapy program. Visitors were also excited to see the beautiful 360° views of Southern California, including landmarks such as Disneyland, Angel’s Stadium and the Honda Center.

A classroom technology demonstration showed off the state of the art equipment that has been implemented at the Anaheim Campus. The installation of wireless and mobile technology allows professors more freedom and creativity in their instruction and gives students the ability to learn using multiple mediums. Further exploration of the offices revealed spaces allocated for students to study, meet, relax, and complete their internship work.

Whether at the main campus in Fullerton or the new campus in Anaheim, the work of HIU students, staff, and faculty has the capacity to reach far around the globe.
