1/19/2008 - Royals Dominated on Boards- Lose to Mustangs

Santa Clarita, CA- Hope International fell to GSAC rival The Master’s on the road Saturday- 70-47. The Mustangs use domination of the glass to pull away from the Royals. Junior Arron Boone returned to form by knocking down 16 points for Hope International.

The Master’s (10-7, 4-3 GSAC) outrebounded the Royals (1-12, 1-6 GSAC) by 30 (58-28). The 28 rebounds is just one above the Royals’ season low.

The star of the game by far was the Mustang’s Eric Durso. He pulled down 21 rebounds (including 17 defensive boards) to go along with 12 points.

Boone hit 7-10 shots from the field including a rare three pointer to lead the Royals. He also blocked 3 shots.

Senior Travis Hardeman reached double figures with 10 points. He, like the rest of the Royals, struggled from behind the three point line- going 0-6. The Royals as a team hit just three 3 pointers on 20 attempts (15%).
