11/20/2007 - Sewitsky, Boone Not Enough to Beat Sunbirds

Fresno, CA- The Royals opened GSAC play on Tuesday by going to Fresno- their longest road trip of the season. They fell to Fresno Pacific 72-55. Junior Arron Boone had his best game so far in a Royals uniform with 12 points and 7 rebounds.

Junior Ryan Sewitsky complimented Boone's inside game with some outside shooting including two 3 pointers and 13 points total.

However, the double-digit tandem of Sewitsky and Boone was not enough to overcome the four Sunbirds (6-0) in double figures. Todd Brown led all scorers with 16 points.

Jordan Farley picked up a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Andrew David chipped in 13 points while Andre Davis knocked down 10 points.

For the Royals, Junior Marko Torovic had 8 points and 7 rebounds before coming out of the game due to back pain.

Overall, the best news for the Royals (0/4) was their free throw shooting. They finished the game 19 of 23 from the line.

The Royals return to GSAC action next Tuesday (11/27) at home against Biola. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 pm in the Darling Pavilion.
