Fullerton, CA- On Tuesday, the Royals squared off with GSAC rival Biola at home. The Eagles pulled out the win 2-0. Freshman Goalkeeper Jakob Brown kept score the match within reach for the Royals with 9 saves- including a few from point blank range.

The Eagles (6-8, 2-4 GSAC) opened the scoring in the 14th minute as Jake Ravenscraft split the Royals defense with a pass into the box that Derek Friehe ran unto and slipped into the back of the net. In the second half, Colin Kilpatrick took advantage of the Royals not setting themselves quickly and bent a free kick into the net from just outside the goal box.

The Royals (8-5, 2-3 GSAC) could not capitalize on their handful of opportunities. Their best scoring chance came on free kick came late in the second half when Junior Tyler Williams sent a free kick into the box that went untouched through the box and just missed wide right. Hope finished the game with only ten players on the field as injuries started to pile up during the game along with three injured players that did not even suit up for the game.

Hope returns to action this Saturday at home (Cal State Fullerton Track Field) at 3pm versus GSAC foe Point Loma. The match will be the back end of a double header with Women's Soccer as they play Point Loma at 1pm.
