10/30/2007 - Andrade Named All-GSAC
Fullerton, CA- Sophomore Jose Andrade has been named All-GSAC Men's Soccer as announced today by the Golden State Athletic Conference.
Andrade, a Sophomore from Sylmar, CA, lead the Royals in goals scored with eight. The forward's best game was the first game of the season when he scored two goals against La Sierra University. On a Northern California road trip, he scored three goals in three games against Bethany College, William Jessup University, and Simpson University. Against Bethany, he also picked up two assists in the 4-1 Royals win. Accuracy was the strength of Andrade's game as he hit 18 of his 27 shots on goal. A late season leg injury caused his playing time to be limited.
The Royals finished the season with an overall record of 8-10 and 2-8 in GSAC play. They just missed out on qualifying for a National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament bid.
