Head Coach Joe Lurker
Head Coach Joe Lurker enters his second season at the helm of the Men's Soccer Team. With a solid recruiting class, Lurker hopes to lead the charge up the mountain that is the GSAC and the NAIA.
Lurker's freshman collegiate coaching season, 2006, can be summed up in one word- injuries. At times throughout the season, which saw the team finish with a record of 3-13 and 2-8 in GSAC games, Lurker only had twelve healthy players to put on the field. However, the gem of the season was a 1-0 win versus the then NAIA #2 Azusa Pacific University.
Along with coaching at Hope, Coach Lurker is the Head Coach of the U14 AC Alliance Boys Club team out in Pomona.
Prior to Hope, Lurker served as an Assistant Coach at Biola University- where he played and started all four years of his college career. He prepped at Santa Margarita High School which should help him recruit in Orange County.
Lurker has a BA in sociology from Biola University and is currently working on a Master's degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration at Concordia University. Lurker resides in Laguna Niguel, CA.
