4/4/2008 - Royals Close Out Season with Loss to #2 Lancers
Riverside, CA- On Friday, Hope International closed out their season on the road at #2 California Baptist and lost in four games (30-27, 28-30, 30-21, 30-23). Junior Rich Camerlengo finished with a team high 15 kills and a match high 10 block assists.
The Royals apparently forgot how to play defense (especially in Game 3) and serve in their final match of the season. The Royals allowed the Lancers to hit .316 for the match including a whooping .783 in Game 3. The Lancers had 19 kills on 23 attempts with just 1 error in the third game. Though in a losing effort, the Royals actually hit .542 themselves in Game 3.
Serving came back to haunt the Royals as well. They misfired for a season high 22 serving errors.
