10/30/2007 - Pruett and White Named All-GSAC
Fullerton, CA- Freshman Harmony Pruett and Sophomore Leslie White were named All-GSAC Women's Soccer as announced today by the Golden State Athletic Conference.
Pruett, a forward from Apple Valley, CA, lead the Women's Soccer team with 10 goals on the season. She was at her best during a Northern California road trip when she scored 5 goals over a three game span against William Jessup University, Simpson University, and Holy Names University. Her one assist of the season came on the only goal scored of a 1-0 Royals win over visiting Embry Riddle University from Arizona. She was a nightmare for opposing goalkeepers all season as she fired off 72 shots with 43 on goal.
White, a defender from Corona, CA, was a major factor in helping the Royals produce 7 shutouts on the season. When the transfer from Riverside Community College was not clearing dangerous balls with her head or feet, she would make her presence felt in offensive attacks. She finished with the season with one goal against University of Great Falls in Montana. Northern California was kind to her as well as her two assists of the year came on the road at Simpson University and Holy Names University.
Pruett and White helped the Royals finish the regular season with a record of 9-7-2 and 3-6-1 in GSAC play. The 9 overall wins and 3 conference wins represent the most wins during a season in the history of Hope International Women's Soccer. The Royals await the official invite to make a trip to the National Christian College Athletic Association National Tournament. Nationals are scheduled for November 16-19 in Kissimmee, Florida.
