5/5/2008 - Hofstetter Named All-GSAC
Fullerton, CA- Freshman Shortstop Allison Hofstetter has been named to the 2008 All-GSAC Softball Team as announced by the Golden State Athletic Conference last week.
Hofstetter, from Diamond Bar, CA, lead the Royals with a .348 batting average during conference play. She pounded out 7 of her 11 doubles and drove in 11 runners against GSAC opponents.
She was at her best against the best as she hit her lone homerun of the season against then #2 California Baptist. Later against then #2 Point Loma Nazarene, she went 3 for 3 with a double and run scored in the first game of a double header.
Her best double header in GSAC play came against Biola as she finished the day 4-6 with 2 doubles, a run scored, and a run batted in.
Overall, Hofstetter hit .317 to help the Royals earn 19 wins on the year- which tied a team season high since joining the GSAC.
