12/05/2007 - Lane Named 2nd Team NCCAA All-American
Fullerton, CA- Hope International Outside Hitter Jillian Lane has been named a National Christian College Athletic Association Second Team All-American for the second consecutive year as announced today by the NCCAA National Office.
Lane, a sophomore from Westlake Village, CA, lead the Royals with 364 kills and 376 digs while playing 86 games in 24 matches. She averaged 4.23 kills per game (third in the GSAC) while averaging 4.37 digs per game (10th in the GSAC). Her kills placed her in the top ten nationally in the NCCAA.
She finished 17 matches in double figures in both kills and digs with 7 matches of 20 kills or more and 7 matches of 20 digs or more. Her season high for kills was 26 against Dominican University while her season high for digs was 32 against Chapman University.
Overall, Lane's best game of the year came in a GSAC match against The Master's College when she finished with 24 kills and 26 digs.
Hope International finished 6-19 overall and 3-17 in Golden State Athletic Conference play.
