What advice do you have for prospective students?
If I could give students only one piece of advice it would be to go after their dreams fully with your whole heart because where there is a will, there is a way. With the support of God, family, friends, and a great educational support team, success can be attained. I advise incoming students to focus on all the good things they have accomplished thus far. It can be difficult to focus on the good when there seems to be so many obstacles ahead of them, but I think by taking a step back and showing them all the amazing things that they have succeeded at already really empowers them to keep going. I often ask students when they are feeling discouraged why they want to pursue completing a degree -- to remind them of where they started, where they are now, and where they are headed.
How do you spend your free time?
In my free time I enjoy being active outdoors, playing volleyball, soccer and hiking. I always love hanging out with my family and friends as well as traveling, concerts, and being involved at my home church.
