Dr. Duncan Reyburn is a Senior Lecturer and researcher at the University of Pretoria, South Africa—the largest university in Africa. Before shifting his focus to academia, he worked as an animator, comics artist, designer, design consultant, illustrator and television commercial director. In his teaching and writing, he has a particular interest in the intersection between philosophical hermeneutics, (political) theology, mimetic theory and visual culture, but his main focus is on the philosophies of G. K. Chesterton. Duncan is also co-authoring a book on political theology and sport and co-editing another one on theologies of failure with Dr. Roberto Sirvent of HIU.
