In this course, students learn research-based, teacher-tested strategies for differentiating instruction for students with a wide range of abilities, including Special Education students with learning disabilities and developmental disabilities, English Learners, at-risk students, students working below grade level, high achievers and gifted students. Students will be taught how to support students in the RTI process and support the goals of an Individu-al Education Plan (IEP) and 504 Plan. Other areas of diversity covered in the course include: the promotion of gender equity, religious tolerance, and homeless children.
