FRONTLINE: Training Leaders for Student Ministry
The task of leading and directing an effective youth ministry continues to become more complicated in light of today's changing youth culture. It is becoming increasingly more difficult to attract new students and at the same time keep current students involved. This workshop is designed to help Youth Ministers, Adult Youth Leaders, and Student Youth Leaders to recognize and address the many challenges faced in youth ministry today. Our keynote speaker and all of our breakout session leaders are experienced professionals who will provide you with current and valuable information to help you build an effective youth ministry.

Laurie Polich, A popular
speaker and author, she
currently serves as Pastor
of Small Groups and
Discipleship at Ocean Hills
Covenant Church in Santa
Barbara, CA. She speaks
at youth conferences, women conferences, colleges
and churches across the country. Laurie is a
graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary. Laurie's
specialty is training youth and adults for small group
ministry. She's been doing it for over 10 years.

No Budget Youth Ministry

Engaging Youth Culture

If you are going to make a difference in this
generation then you must begin to understand the
current youth culture.We need to hear the
students speak to us in their own words and then
we can speak back in language that is meaningful
to them. In this session you will learn to better
understand the world our students live in as well
as our role in their lives.
Pornography - The Battle for Purity
Ed Moreno
Learn the reasons pornography is so addictive,
how it is impacting our youth, and its connection to
crime. Learn the Biblical basis for overcoming the
common arguments used by those who believe
pornography is neutral, victimless and even helpful
to individuals, marriages and to society at large.
Resources will be presented to help teens and
others win in the battle for personal purity.
Surviving Youth Ministry
Mike Miaolo
In this session you will learn practical ways to
enjoy long life in youth ministry. The presenter will
share from his own past mistakes and failures in
the ministry in hopes that it can assist others in
growing. There will be discussion about how to
work with both a small and large church staff and
discover a fresh approach to longevity in youth
ministry.
Counseling Skills in Youth Ministry
Ron Hall
This workshop will highlight some practical
counseling skills which can be applied to any
adolescent. The training will include how to help a
struggling youth move forward in his/her life, and
help you to coach a young person grow in their
relational skills. Specific skills include a multi-step
process to achieve mature communication and
conflict resolution.
Small Group Dynamics
Jeremy Kennedy
Have you wondered if your Small Group can get
any more rowdy, unfocused, and unproductive?
This session will discuss how to lead a Small
Group, with all of its personality quirks, away from
rowdy and towards the life giving place we want all
of our Small Groups to be.
