The Hugh and Hazel Darling Foundation have funded a technology upgrade for the library at Hope International University (HIU). Thanks to their generous donation, Hope was able to purchase 30 new iMac desktop computers with the latest Apple applications installed as well as an improved wireless Internet system all for student use. New computers have also been put in at the public services workstations, which allow access to online databases, in the library. In addition, HIU faculty can prepare and execute lesson plans using laptops, video editing equipment, and data projectors that were purchased thanks to the Foundation’s grant.

This is not the first time the Darling Foundation has invested in HIU. In 1998, the group provided the University with a $500,000 grant to help renovate the library complex. Two years later, the project was completed and the building was renamed The Darling Library.
