Bachelor in Music

The Bachelor of Music curriculum is designed to prepare students for careers in music ministry and performance. Students who successfully complete this degree will be capable of entering graduate school or initial level music related careers.

The Bachelor of Music degree is grounded in the music of the Church. Candidates for the degree will be equipped to use music to 1) make the public assemblies of the Church more meaningful, 2) train Christians for service, 3) provide service opportunities, 4) evangelize, and 5) nurture those who provide and receive the ministry of music.

Providing a service outlet for Hope students is another reason for the existence of the Department of Music. Both music majors and non-music majors are given an opportunity to grow through enjoyable musical experiences, and the churches whom they serve are edified by the presence and service of those same students.
