B.A. in Psychology

Students in the Psychology Major will be equipped with the knowledge and understanding to apply psychological and sociological principles to diverse populations, and with an awareness of behavior, which allows for effective ministry in people related professions.

The Psychology Major is designed to provide those desiring careers in professional psychology as a psychologist or counselor with the preparation needed to enter graduate study in psychology. It is also designed to provide a strong liberal arts education for careers for which training in psychology can be essential: church ministries, social work, probation/corrections, business, teaching, and a variety of other employment opportunities. Psychology graduates may seek positions in probation, welfare, social services, clinical counseling, and research.
