Online Courses
Hope Online
Ready access to a moderately equipped home or office computer with Internet access and demonstrated computer/internet competence is essential for successful School of Professional Studies program participation in our online degree completition programs. Visit www.hopeonline.edu and click on Technical Info for a complete list of required resources, and to take an online browser test that will help determine whether your computer is adequate.
eCourses
For those who have an erratic schedule or a job that requires travel, we offer the convenience of SPS's completely online programs. Students "attend class" by logging in from their office or from home. They participate in courses taught over the World Wide Web, enhanced with textbooks and additional educational resources, such as audio and videotapes. Students are not required to be online at the same time as other eCourse classmates; however, they are expected to be online most every day of each class.
eCompanions
Online support sites, known as eCompanions, supplement all SPS campus-based programs. These individualized web sites extend the teaching and learning that begins in the classroom by regularly facilitating:
- Communication via email, chat and threaded discussion;
- Online lectures and presentations;
- Readings and Internet links;
- Assignment/Document submission;
- Quizzes and learning assessments;
- Online gradebook;
- Live electronic whiteboard conferencing; and
- Library resources/access
