student life

Associated Student Body

The Associated Student Body (ASB) exists to serve the undergraduate students of Hope International University. Our primary role is to represent the voice of all undergraduate students regardless of ability, gender, nationality or race. We also seek to better serve all students through advocacy, diversity in leadership and helping to promote positive change throughout the campus. By actively participating in organized HIU events, we strive to improve the student experience on and off campus. Through serving on ASB, students also have the opportunity to bring to life Hope’s emphasis on servant leadership.

If you have ideas, feedback, or comments please contact us at (714) 879-3901 ext. 1201 or ASB@hiu.edu. We are here for you!

ASB President’s Message

Dear Hope Student Body,

It is my honor to serve you as the Student Body President. This year, the heart of U.S.B. is John 3:30, “He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less”. The U.S.B. Senators, Vice President, Alyssa Owings, and I are committed to serving Christ and the Hope community through the positions God has blessed us with.

The purpose of U.S.B. is to represent the students as a unified voice. With that being said, we promise to make ourselves approachable and available; seeking solutions to issues and concerns the student body has. We want the 2011-2012 school year to be the best possible college experience for you. Each Senator represents a different people group or need at HIU and they are your first link to the Administration. If at any time during the year you have an idea to improve student life or have a concern, feel free to meet with the Senators or me during our scheduled office hours or write an email to ASB@hiu.edu.

God has blessed me at Hope with friends who are like family and with staff and faculty who take the time to build me up as a servant leader for Christ. It is my prayer that every student at the end of the year will have similar stories of how God has blessed them through coming to Hope. Let’s make an impact on this world for the Kingdom through a John 3:30 life of servant leadership!

Sincerely,

Jeff Faulkner
U.S.B. President
