Housing

If you are a non-HIU student applying for residency, click here.

Hope offers traditional residence hall housing on the main Fullerton campus. All rooms have private bathrooms with showers. The rooms have multiple capacity options, including Quads (four students/room), Triples (three students/room), Doubles (two students/room) and Singles (one student/room). Your eligibility is dependent on the amount of academic units you have completed. Priority for triples, doubles, and singles is given to students based on college class standing. All residents have access to the community pool, located directly between the residence halls. Fill out a Residence Hall Housing Contract today!

All Hope International University students are eligible to live on-campus, although priority is given to undergraduate students attending Pacific Christian College (PCC). Married housing is available, please fill out a Married Residence Hall Housing Contract.

Living Off-Campus

PCC students who are under the age of twenty-two prior to the beginning of the Fall Semester are required to live on-campus unless they are commuting from the home of a parent or approved family member. If you are planning on living off-campus, please download the Notification of Living Off-Campus form and submit it to the Housing Office for consideration and approval.

Moving Off-Campus
If you would like to move off-campus and are eligible to do so (see above), fill out a Release From Housing Contract 30 Day Notice form. Once completed, submit this form to the Housing Office for approval 30 days (minimum) prior to the date on which you would like to move out.

Housing Extensions
If you are in need of a housing extension for the Fall or Spring semesters (meaning that you are moving out of the residence halls at the end of the semester, but need to stay after the check-out deadline), you can apply for an extension by completing the Housing Extension Request Form and submitting it to the Housing Office by the indicated deadline. The ONLY individuals who qualify for housing extensions are:

  • HIU students who are involved in University academic activities that necessitate an extended stay. These students may stay one day after their last academic commitment (Faculty/Advisor signature required).
  • Graduating seniors may be approved to stay until 5:00 pm the day immediately following graduation.

Housing Renewal
Individuals who lived in the HIU residence halls during the 2011 Spring Semester and who would like to continue to live in the HIU residence halls for the 2011-2012 academic year must complete and submit a Residence Hall Housing License Agreement Renewal . Any student submitting a housing contract after June1, 2011 will incur a $50 late fee charged to their existing account.

Summer Housing
HIU does provide summer housing for studens who have previously lived in the residence halls. Please submit a HIU Student Summer Residence License Agreement to the Housing office prior to May 1 st.
