This course contains an overview of the major literary genre and themes from classical antiquity to the post-Renaissance era, including representa-tive selections from biblical, Hellenistic, Asian, African and western litera-ture. Emphasis is placed on the diversity of literary expression within its cultural context, while recognizing the universal themes common to the hu-man experience. (Prerequisites: ENG1100 & ENG2100)
