Constitutional Law and Interpretation

POL4400 Constitutional Law and Interpretation (3)

The class explores the ways in which constitutional interpretation and judi-cial decision-making shape and constrain political behavior, political thought, and the development of political institutions in the United States - and how those in turn influence judicial choices. Throughout, the course examines how landmark constitutional cases reflect and shape various ap-proaches and theories of constitutional interpretation, as well as "hot button" issues of contemporary American society.
