PSY4300 Infant, Toddler Mental Health (3)
This course is an introduction to the field of infant and toddler mental health -the study of how a young child's overall development is impacted by his social-emotional development and early relationships. Focus will be on early theorist and contributors to the field, as well as factors contributing to healthy emotional development - brain development, temperament, the impact of trauma and multiple separations, and parent attachment styles. Environmen-tal and physiological risk factors will be covered.
