Preparing Servant Leaders,
Since 1928
A balanced approach to ministry.
Hope International University’s
graduate ministry programs are designed with a broad range of
ministry leaders in mind. While some
graduates go on to fulfill pastoral roles in a church, others
are called into other para-church and non-profit ministries,
whether overseas
missions work or inner-city relief efforts.
Understanding that
ministry comes in many different shapes and sizes, HIU offers
a flexible program that lets the student tailor-make
a program that fits their goals. HIU ministry programs are balanced
within four key categories: Scriptural Development, Service in
Context, Spiritual Formation and Skills for Ministry.
In addition
to HIU’s flexible degree plan, graduate M.A.: Ministry
students are able to choose a concentration that meets their
ministry focus. Students can choose from:
- Biblical Studies
- Christian Ministry & Leadership
- Church Planting
- Intercultural Studies (Missions)
- Pastoral Care
- Spiritual Formation
- Worship
Undergraduate B.S. in Christian Ministry have the opportunity
to get a head start on Master’s work by completing “transition
courses”—graduate level coursework—that will apply
to their current Bachelor’s degree now and a Master’s degree
in the future. Students can choose courses from any of the concentration
above, providing an additional level of expertise to an already
multi-faceted degree program.
