The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
Hope International University holds regional accreditation with the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The status of accreditation indicates that Hope meets WASC's Accreditation Standards, demonstrates Core Commitments to Institutional Capacity and Educational Effectiveness, and devotes itself to periodic self-evaluation and ongoing institutional improvement.
Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE)
Hope International University holds programmatic accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education. ABHE is a national accrediting agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). It offers undergraduate, graduate, institutional, and programmatic accreditation for institutions committed to Christian higher education. It further indicates a demonstrated commitment to ongoing institutional development. This accreditation is applicable to the following degree programs and majors:

The California Commission for Teacher Credentialing (CCTC)
Teaching Credentials are certified by the California Commission for Teacher Credentialing.
The Board of Behavioral Sciences of California (BBS)
The Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy meets the educational requirements of the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California.
Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)
Bible courses are approved for teacher certification by the Association of Christian Schools International, of which Hope is a member.
Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU)
Hope holds membership with the CCCU, allowing students to participate in a variety of study abroad programs.
