Reports to: Director of Athletics
Position Status: Temporary
Position Summary
The Assistant Athletic Trainer works under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer and helps oversee the care of student-athletes competing in the University’s athletic programs. This position is responsible for injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, documentation, and coverage of practices, games, and travel.
Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Training Room.

Provide coverage at practices and games, including evenings and weekends.

Travel with both men’s and women’s athletic teams as assigned.

Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.

Support the processing of secondary insurance claims.

Maintain accurate documentation of student-athlete medical records, including pre-participation physicals, injury reports, and rehabilitation notes.

Model caring relationships with students through personal interaction and as an effective role model of a committed Christian life.

Willingness to exercise ministerial duties as appropriate, such as praying with students, sharing personal faith testimony, encouraging students in their walk with Christ, etc.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Master’s Degree preferred.

Certification by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of athletic injuries, rehabilitation techniques, assessment, and emergency care.

Familiarity with basic pharmacology and athlete counseling.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Basic computer skills and ability to manage budgets.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Character

Hourly Pay Rate: $25-$30
