Organizational Relationship: Reports to Vice President for Enrollment Management
Position Status: Exempt, Full-time
Position Summary: The Director of Undergraduate Admissions has overall responsibility for the development and implementation of recruitment and marketing strategies to achieve the University's undergraduate enrollment goals. This position provides leadership and administrative direction for the admissions staff. The Director oversees the daily admissions operation, including staff management, application processing, marketing communications, and all activities that support recruitment. This position requires strong analytical skills that lead to data-driven decisions and professional experience in the use of technology to manage information and build relationships with prospective students. Some travel is required to represent the University at appropriate venues.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Work with the VPEM to develop and implement an enrollment management strategy to increase student enrollment and achieve annual new student enrollment goals with a focus on recruiting students who are the right “fit” for HIU.
Travel & Physical Demands:
The Director of Undergraduate Admissions must be willing to travel within the U.S.
Moderate to, at times, extensive work in the field representing the university and recruiting potential students.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field, master’s degree preferred. Experience in college recruitment.
Knowledge: Organizational development, higher education administration, and spiritual formation.
Skills: Administrative, managerial, leadership, interpersonal, strategic planning, and change agent.
Mental Demands: Multi-tasking, problem-solving, conflict resolution, working with ambiguity.
Physical Demands: Extended intervals at a computer monitor screen; frequent evening and weekend work.
Visual Demands: Extended periods of viewing computer monitor screens.
Environment: Fast-paced office environment; frequent walk-in visits from staff and students.
Character: Must embody Christian character and be actively involved in a local church.
Hiring Range: $85,000–$100,000
