Christian Universities Online knows parents and students want to make the best use of their often limited financial resources. When it comes to CUO's 2nd annual ranking of the 50 Best Value Schools, many of the featured colleges and universities deliver to their students much more than they pay for. The schools in the 2016 list excel at combining a high quality education experience while keeping the net price of their tuition very reasonable. This ranking serves as a useful tool in making the best decision of which school to attend while making every dollar count.

The methodology behind this ranking began with schools that have been accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), or the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), or a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The next step was to take the earned score in CUO's 50 Best Christian Colleges and Universities. This weighted number was combined with the school’s weighted score from CUO's 50 Most Affordable Christian Colleges and Universities. The sum of these weighted data points were combined and used to produce this featured ranking.

Established in 1928 and affiliated with non-denominational Christian Churches/Churches of Christ, HIU's stated mission is to “empower students through Christian higher education to serve the Church and impact the world for Christ.” HIU boasts an attractively low student/faculty ratio of 14:1 with smaller classroom sizes, providing students valuable one-on-one attention from their professors. With an enrollment of over 2,000, HIU’s diverse student-body represents 35 states and 40 countries. HIU offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees through their five colleges of Arts & Sciences; Business & Management; Education; Psychology & Counseling; and Pacific Christian College of Ministry & Biblical Studies. Degrees from HIU may be earned both on-campus and online.
