Edudemic has released the 2015 Online College Report, a guide for students that ranks the best online colleges and universities in each state.

After considering 740 California colleges, the Edudemic Online College Report ranked Hope International University #2 on their Top Online Schools for 2015 list. The list consisted of 12 schools that offer at least 4 fully online programs.

Despite being a private Christian university with comparatively higher tuition rates, Hope International University scored exceptionally well, earning the #2 spot on the list. This was attributed to HIU’s affordability, high graduation rate, and large selection of all online programs available to students, as well as strong financial aid programs. HIU was also recognized for having the best online Accounting, Counseling, Psychology, and Teaching degrees as well as the best MBA program out of the schools that made the list (see below).

There are now 37 universities in California that offer some type of degree online. Edudemic evaluated and ranked these schools to determine the best online degree programs in California. These individual state rankings are part of Edudemic’s 2015 Online College Report which measures performance (graduation rate), financial aid availability, career services resources, transparency of information and responsiveness. Edudemic was created in 2010 and covers teaching, learning and technology's influence in positively shaping education in new learning environments.
