HIU's SALT Program Meets Needs in Tennessee

Posted: January 20, 2016

HIU’s School of Advanced Leadership Training (SALT) has provided a platform for church leaders across the nation to strengthen their practical ministry skills and spiritual health, and form a strong Biblical foundation from which to serve others. Hope currently hosts SALT programs in multiple states, offering certificates in ministry as well as business.

North Boulevard Church of Christ in Tennessee had been searching for a university partner for their School of Christian Thought. Since their implementation of SALT in the fall of 2015, there are about 30 students on track to earn certificates by the end of this term. The students are currently in their third class and are very appreciative of the cultural understandings that have been brought into discussion regarding scripture. The opportunity to dialog with fellow church leaders about class content also adds value to this program. Combining low cost and fully transferable accreditation, the SALT program has been a perfect match for North Boulevard.

HIU’s SALT program has created an avenue for church leaders to grow in their faith and lead from a biblically-educated foundation. The hundreds of certificates earned in recent years demonstrates that this is the program that the church community has been eagerly awaiting.
