HIU Again Named a Top Christian College for Veterans

Posted: July 3, 2017

For the second consecutive year, Hope International University has been named one of the Top 50 Christian Colleges for Veterans by Christian Universities Online, the trusted guide to Christian colleges and universities.

America’s Veteran population has a unique and varied set of needs.  A primary area of concern is education. Upon discharge from the military, many veterans have certain technical skills, but they could use additional training to be better equipped for civilian business. Aside from governmental assistance, there are other ways schools can serve this population.  This includes providing credit for service time, accepting all forms of financial assistance, providing dedicated staff to meet their needs and answer their questions and more.

HIU offers a number of benefits to help active duty and veterans achieve their professional, personal, and academic goals in a supportive environment including:

  • Active Duty Tuition Discount
  • Post 9/11 and Montgomery GI Bills
  • Servicemembers Opportunity Consortium

In addition, Hope accepts military credits earned through service schools (SMARTS, AARTS and CCAF) or DANTES/CLEP exams. With HIU, veterans will be connected with an Academic Coach who is specially trained to assist with military and VA benefits.
