2017-18 Voices Of Christian Thought (VOCT) Lineup

The Pacific Christian College of Ministry and Biblical Studies proudly sponsors the 2017-18 Voices Of Christian Thought (VOCT) Series. VOCT will feature four thoughtful speakers this school year to present lectures and to engage in dialog.

These special lectures are open to the public on the following dates:

  • Thursday, August 31st (HIU Chapel) 9:30am - David L. Matson (Ph.D.), Professor of Biblical Studies at HIU, Author of Household Conversion Narratives in Acts: Pattern and Interpretation, Co-editor of One in Christ Jesus
  • Thursday, August 31st (Room 205) 7:00pm, Protestant – Roman Catholic DialogueWilliam J. Shaules (Ph.D.), Associate Coordinator of Diaconate Formation, Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Adjunct professor of Religion at Loyola Marymount University
  • Wednesday, September 27th  (Room 205) 7:00pm, Reformation Lecture – Jennifer Powell McNutt, (Ph.D.), Associate Professor of Theology and History of Christianity at Wheaton College, Author of Calvin Meets Voltaire, Co-editor of The People’s Book: The Reformation and the Bible
  • Thursday, September 28th  (HIU Chapel) 9:30am - Jennifer Powell McNutt, (Ph.D.) See bio above.
  • Thursday, March 1st (HIU Chapel) 9:30am – Jeremy Treat (Ph.D.), Pastor for preaching and vision at Reality LA, Adjunct Professor of Theology at Biola University, Author of The Crucified King: Atonement and Kingdom in Biblical and Systematic Theology
