"CLASSROOMS for the FUTURE" Alumni Initiative

Posted: November 7, 2017

Established in 1928, Hope International University is poised to celebrate its 90th Anniversary in 2018! Although much has changed over the course of nine decades, the mission of HIU remains unchanged; and the lives of our alumni exemplify that mission every day, all around the globe.

Almost without exception, if any of us were asked to list the most earthshaking changes in our lifetime, we would identify technology.  And while HIU’s mission is a constant, the tools of technology – which would have looked like science fiction to a professor in 1928 – are constantly evolving.

An early adopter of online learning, HIU continues to push ahead with our Classrooms for the Future Initiative. As we celebrate 90 years of servant leaders, we are inviting our alumni to help us continue our legacy of forward thinking.

This initiative strives to provide state-of-the-art classrooms with such features as interactive projectors and whiteboards; multiple handheld devices; and video conferencing capabilities for on-campus students; and new video teaching and e-college upgrades to allow better learning opportunities for on-line and graduate students. This technology will offer students access to the best education and career opportunities available.

Our goal of raising $90,000 to renovate classrooms to better equip the next generation can be realized if 1,000 alumni each give $90 to fund this vital project. You have the opportunity to help us reach this important goal!

Please consider making a $90 gift to the Classrooms for the Future Initiative. If you wish to give online, CLICK HERE and select "Alumni90" from the FUND drop down menu. If you wish to discuss a significant gift to name a classroom, please contact Michael Mulryan at [email protected].

Thank you for your prayerful and thoughtful consideration.  Your gift will prepare students to serve God in innovative, effective ways that haven’t yet been imagined.
