New Partnership Agreement with The Solomon Foundation

Posted: November 13, 2025

Hope International University (HIU) and The Solomon Foundation (TSF) are proud to announce a new long-term partnership designed to strategically leverage the assets and strengths of both organizations. HIU will gift its Fullerton Campus to TSF, who will lease the property back to HIU, significantly reducing annual costs for the University. TSF will eliminate all HIU’s indebtedness and establish a five-million-dollar endowment for student scholarships. Additionally, TSF will provide five years of annual grants, followed by a one-time substantial gift for capital expenses.

The Board of Trustees of both organizations approved the plan earlier this fall. The official date for launch is December 1st, 2025. In terms of day-in and day-out operations at the University, all HIU constituents will notice no changes. “This strategic partnership strengthens HIU in its mission to train leaders for the Church and impact the world for Christ for decades to come,” according to Paul Alexander, President of HIU.

The Solomon Foundation will also benefit from the partnership. With this significant asset on their balance sheet, TSF can leverage this gift into hundreds of millions of dollars in loans to churches and other Christian Universities in the Restoration Movement. Doug Crozier, the CEO Emeritus of TSF, shared this, “TSF and HIU have enjoyed a close working relationship for many years. I am thrilled to begin the next chapter of the relationship and excited to see how God will shape the future for both us and the Churches we both love so much.”

New TSF CEO, Josh Means, sees this as a transformative opportunity, stating, “As the new leader of The Solomon Foundation I am blessed to be able to leverage this incredible gift to serve churches throughout the United States. We are ready to work together to build the new Endowment for Hope’s future students and pastors in training.”

Echoing this optimism, HIU Board Chair, Will Mullins says, “This partnership gives HIU a tremendous boost in resources and solidifies our foundation for many years to come. The future is very bright for the University. We are grateful for TSF and their commitment to expanding the reach of Christian Churches and Colleges.”
