HIU proudly presents Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, a contemporary Broadway adaptation of the classic musical. Under the direction of HIU alumna Ember Williams (BM '00), the talented cast includes HIU students and alumni representing a broad spectrum of academic programs and disciplines. HIU's spring musicals have become a popular annual event for the local community as well as alumni and friends of the University.

The timeless story is derived from the fairy tale Cinderella, particularly the French version Cendrillon ou la petite pantoufle de verre, by Charles Perrault. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella was twice remade for television, first in 1965 for Lesley Ann Warren and again in 1997, featuring Brandy and Whitney Houston. The original Broadway production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella opened in 2013 and starred Laura Osnes, Santino Fontana, Victoria Clark and Harriet Harris.

Public performances are scheduled for March 24, 25, 31 at 7:00pm in HIU's Pacific Auditorium, plus a special performance for alumni and donors on April 1*. (Doors open for seating at 6:30pm). Each year, HIU also hosts special matinee performances for local elementary, junior high, and high school students, which includes a meet and greet with the cast.

General admission tickets are available for $15 each and can be purchased online or by calling 714-681-7235. HIU student discount tickets will be available at the door with valid ID ($12). Will Call tickets will be available for pickup between 6-7pm on the night of the performance.
