Since graduating from Hope International University in 2015, Chris Tyler has been living out God's plan for his life while helping others navigate theirs. Earning a bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in biblical studies, Chris now works as a financial advisor, providing guidance to pastors, churches, families, individuals, and schools. He describes his work as “helping people steward the financial resources God has provided and entrusted to them.”
At Alliance Advisory & Securities, Chris has the opportunity to integrate his faith into his professional life. The company’s purpose is to steward advisors as they guide their clients to sustained financial freedom through biblical wisdom. Chris contributes by ensuring that the investments his clients make are in alignment with biblical values. Many people are unaware of where their assets are invested, but for Chris and Alliance, it’s essential that those investments reflect their faith.
Chris’s approach to financial planning is deeply influenced by the servant leadership principles he developed during his time at HIU. He places a strong emphasis on putting others first and striving to glorify God through his work. Helping clients understand both their financial returns and how their investments benefit Christ aligns with his servant leadership style.
Beyond his professional life, Chris embodies his Christian values as a father. He and his wife, Taylor ('15), first met on move-in day at HIU in the fall of 2011. Their relationship grew alongside their faith, and they married in 2016. Together, they have three children: Maggie, Christopher, and Reagan.
