Weekly Hours: 15-20 hours
Starting Pay: $19-21 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Reports To: Children’s Ministry Director
General Description
The Children’s Ministry Associate Director works closely with the Children’s Director to support and lead the children’s ministries of One Life City Church. This role helps create and sustain a safe, Christ-centered environment where children can grow as healthy followers of Jesus. The Associate Director will assist in developing curriculum, equipping volunteers, and building effective ministry systems that support the spiritual formation of children.
Position Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Children’s Director to implement the vision and goals for children’s ministry

Oversee Sunday morning children’s programming (Nursery–6th grade), ensuring a safe, welcoming, and spiritually engaging environment

Develop and adapt age-appropriate, Christ-centered curriculum

Recruit, train, and support volunteers by providing clear structure, ongoing feedback, resources, and appreciation

Build strong relationships with parents and volunteers to support families in prayer, encouragement, and spiritual growth

Support communication with families and help plan special events or seasonal programming
Staff Leadership

Participate in weekly staff meetings

Participate in Children’s Ministry Team meetings
Qualifications

A growing relationship with Jesus and a heart for children’s spiritual development

Experience working with children in a church or educational setting preferred

Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Ability to lead volunteers and collaborate with staff

Commitment to the vision and values of One Life City Church as an active, integrated member
