Qualifications:
This person must have a commitment to Christ and be or be willing to be a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Good character and integrity is essential, along with the ability to work with lots of different personalities. This person will need worship leading, musical, and organizational skills, and the ability to use necessary technological equipment essential to the ministry. This person must have a pastoral spirit for the congregation and the worship team, and be able to work independently and efficiently, but also be a team member. Vocal and musical skills are a must.
Accountability:
The Worship Leader reports directly to the Lead Pastor, and through him to the board of Elders, and works directly with the Tech Coordinator. This person is a member of the CBC staff.
Ministry Overview:
The Worship Leader coordinates and leads all areas of worship for the congregation, developing a team, and leading both the team and the congregation in worship. This person will work closely with the Tech Coordinator and office staff.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the Lead Pastor to build worship services that create an atmosphere of worship and draw the congregation into heartfelt worship.
2. Function as the primary worship leader, but also develop a team who love to worship and are able to lead the congregation in worship.
3. Provide vision and strategy for the development of the worship ministries of CBC.
4. Encourage the worship team and the congregation to live lives of worship throughout the week.
5. General Ministry
- Function as a part of the staff team, working together to accomplish the purposes and visions of the church.
- Be available or have volunteers available to lead special services of worship.
- Other program and administrative duties as agreed upon.
Compensation and Benefits:
The position is a part time position (10-15? hours per week), with focus on Sunday mornings and worship rehearsal times. For final candidates who will need to relocate to Bishop, the church will aid in obtaining interviews with local businesses to obtain a job to help in the financial support.
Salary Package: Commensurate with agreed upon responsibilities, experience and education
Vacation: There is no paid vacation, but time away can be scheduled as long as duties are covered.
Unpaid time off may be arranged in advance with the Lead Pastor
Evaluation:
Performance reviews based upon the stated duties in this contract, agreed upon goals, and personal pastoral character will be conducted annually by the Elders and Lead Pastor. Compensation and benefits will be evaluated annually as well.
