HIU Conference Helps Churches Learn To Lead Better

Posted: February 1, 2014

On Saturday, March 8th, 2014, Hope International University will host the Lead Better conference. Designed for elders, ministers, and church staff, this event allows everyone to come together to learn how to be a strong, cohesive unit to lead their church into the future.

The theme of this year's conference is 'Transition.'

Scheduled to speak at the conference are three pastors who have decades of experience in dealing with transition and how it impacts a church leadership team.

Gene Appel and elders of Eastside Christian Church in Anaheim  share how they helped the church get a clear and concise focus while moving to a new location that would allow for the tremendous growth that God was sending their way.

Bruce Templeton will talk about his 25 years at First Christian Church in Huntington Beach and how God has blessed his ministry and led him through a transition at the key leadership position.

John Scott of Community Christian Church in Hemet describes his experience leading the church through a very painful time that could have ended its existence. God had other plans though, and today the church is a thriving ministry with over 1,000 people attending every weekend.
