2021 Golf Challenge Raises Record Revenue

PLACENTIA, CA :: On Monday, August 30, Hope International University hosted its 15th Annual HIU GOLF CHALLENGE at the Alta Vista Country Club to help fund student scholarships and departmental programs. Our donors and sponsors teamed up to give more than $73,000  – a single-year record for this event. Over the past 15 years, HIU’s tournament has raised nearly $750,000 to benefit Hope students.

This year’s group of 50 golfers included HIU friends, supporters, alumni, trustees, administrators, faculty/staff, and local church pastors/leaders. Participants enjoyed a picture-perfect day, including a putting contest and several opportunities to win fabulous prizes. Following the round, everyone gathered in one of the onsite banquet rooms for a fun, informal awards dinner. Members of the HIU Royals Golf Team served as student ambassadors throughout the event.

The HIU community is very grateful for all who came out to support our students. Special thanks to our 2021 sponsors whose contributions helped make this year’s fundraiser such a great success: Dr. Paul Alexander (Course Sponsor), Dr. Mark Comeaux, Will Mullins, The Solomon Foundation, CDF Capital, Compass Christian Church, Rizio Lipinsky Law Firm, One&All Church, Refinery Christian Church, Shepherd Church, Proline Electrical Contractors, Inc., PGA Concrete & Construction Services, Direct Print & Promotion, Peter C. Foy & Associates, Faithlife, and The Wright Image.
