EDU6710 Introduction to Gifted and Talented Education (3)
Students in this course examine the nature of giftedness and talent, theory-based definitions of giftedness, from both historical and present day per-spectives and the identification of students for Gifted and talented pro-grams. Students develop an understanding of the identification process and instruments used, along with the cognitive, social and emotional needs of those identified as gifted.
