This 3-hour online continuing education course is designed to teach ways that trauma may present in children and teens in various settings at home and within the online learning space, including anxiety, hopelessness, withdrawal, irritability, depression, and exhaustion. In this workshop, you will learn how to identify the compounding effects of multiple collective traumas on vulnerable youth, including marginalized, and/or disenfranchised individuals and communities. You will be able to define a greater level awareness about key trauma-related concepts: trauma, trauma-informed care vs. trauma sensitive and trauma specific treatment, COVID – 19 social – emotional strategies, and so much more!
About the Presenter: Dr. Angela Clack, Psyd. Is a licensed psychotherapist, doctorally-trained clinician and owner of Clack Associates, LLC, a private practice outpatient counseling agency in Southern New Jersey. She has been working in the mental health field for more than 25 years. Dr. Clack is known for her ability to teach, supervise, coach, and provide training in various areas pertaining to children, youth, and their families. Because of her training and teaching abilities, Dr. Clack has made a massive impact in her community by reducing the stigma of people of color who seek mental health treatment.
Registration: Payments for CE Workshops are non-refundable, however full value of workshop can be applied to future workshops if participant is unable to attend. Participant must be present for the entire workshop and complete online evaluation to receive certification for continuing education hours.
