Message from the Dean

Welcome to the College of Psychology and Counseling. Hope International University is an excellent place to pursue your degree.

The College of Psychology and Counseling (CPC), offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology, counseling, human development, sport psychology, and marriage and family therapy. In addition to a bachelor's degree in psychology, offered both on-ground and online, CPC offers a bachelor's degree in Sport Psychology, and master's degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy, and Counseling.

The Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and the Master of Science in Counseling are both designed to provide a pathway towards licensure as a marriage and family therapist and/or professional clinical counselor. In addition, CPC hosts the Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, which is designed to provide opportunities for students to make scholarly contributions in the field of MFT.

In the College of Psychology and Counseling, your dream of a traditional college experience, earning a degree, changing, or advancing in your career, or attending graduate school can become a reality.

We strive to provide the highest quality of education for our students, with degree programs specifically designed to meet the needs of students seeking a traditional college experience, as well as the needs of busy working adults who must balance marriage, family, work, and church. In order to best equip students, our faculty strives to design curriculum that weaves together theory, practical application and research throughout each program.

We are committed to building and maintaining a supportive Christ-centered community, with strong relationships between students, faculty, and alumni. All of our programs are approached with a deep sense of dedication to provide the highest quality of education. Programs combine theory with practical experience and are presented in both a traditional classroom setting, as well as an online format.

Our graduates serve across America and around the world in diverse careers in ministry, health care agencies, government organizations, and other venues. The faculty in the College of Psychology and Counseling is deeply committed to providing high quality education and learning experiences that inspire intellectual curiosity, diversity, and cultural awareness.
